about our Stewart Island shark cage diving trips
 What times do you leave & come back?
We leave Bluff at 8.30 am and get back the next day at 7.00 pm for overnight trips and for day trips leave Bluff at 8.30am and drop off Stewart Island by 6pm. Get into Stewart Island for pick ups at 8.30 am. If you are getting picked up from Stewart Island on day 2 at 8.30 am you will come back with us to Bluff and get there by 7pm.
What happens if we don't see a shark?
You will receive a voucher, which is valid for 1 year.
How much does it cost?
Day trips $390.00. Overnight trips - Foveaux $899.00 - Tasman Suite $899.00 - Pacific Suite $1099.00, plus there are other prices if you choose to do the Wonder Package (which is 2 nights Stewart Island & 1 day Milford Sound).
How long is a trip?
8.30 am until 6.00 pm for the day trip and for the overnight trip from 9.00 am until 7.00 pm the next day.
 How far is it from Bluff to Stewart Island?
It takes 1 hour.
What age can a child participate?
10 yrs and upwards.
Is food included?
Yes
Is dive gear included?
Yes
 Do we need certification to shark cage dive?
Preferred, but not essential, as you can undergo a shark cage dive training session. This is done on your departure day.
Do we dive with air?
Yes. If you don't have dive certification, you will need to an intro to breathing air underwater which is conducted by a qualified dive instructor and completed on the day of the trip. Cost $90.00
How many go in at a time when we shark cage dive?
4 people
How far ahead should I book?
Minimum of a week ahead so you aren't disappointed.
Can I use a camera in the cage?
Yes, sharks will swim close to the cage
 Can underwater cameras be purchased?
Yes
How Can I pay?
Credit card – Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Cash. 50% deposit needs to be paid when booking.
What happens if I bring some of my own gear, do I get it cheaper?
No
Do we do other activities?
Yes. If you are overnight clients you can get the chance to snorkel & swim with the seals, and kayak.
Will I need to bring warm clothing?
Yes, always be prepared we have been known to get four seasons in one day.
Will I see other animals during the day?
Yes, seals, albatross and sometimes dolphins and whales.
